We just wrapped up a full lighting upgrade at a Scripps Ranch home - and this one covered a lot of ground. Primary bath, closet, home office, dining room, and family room. Different spaces, different needs, but the same goal throughout: lighting that actually works for the way the homeowners use each room.

The home office got recessed lights paired with a new ceiling fan. That combo does more than most people realize. The recessed lights keep the ceiling clean and push even light across the whole workspace, while the fan handles air circulation without taking up floor space. No bulky fixtures hanging in the way. Just a well-lit, comfortable room that's easy to work in for hours.

The dining room is where things got a little more fun. We installed a set of globe pendant lights centered over the table - a clean, modern look that anchors the space without overpowering it. Paired with recessed lighting in the tray ceiling above, the room has layers of light now. Ambient overhead coverage plus a focal point right where you want it. It makes a real difference, especially during evening meals.

Then there's the primary bath. This is a space people often overlook when it comes to lighting, but it matters more than you'd think. We placed recessed lights strategically around the vanity mirror so the light falls evenly - no harsh shadows, no dark corners. That kind of thoughtful placement is the difference between a bathroom that just has light and one that's genuinely pleasant to use every morning.

Good lighting isn't about adding more fixtures. It's about putting the right fixtures in the right places. That's what we focus on whether we're working on one room or an entire home.
