This job was a good one. A homeowner in Rancho Peñasquitos wanted to make their home safer, more functional, and ready for the future - and we got to knock out a solid list of upgrades all in one visit.

We started with the exterior. New GFCI outlets on the outside of the home give them protected power where they need it, properly housed in a weatherproof enclosure. We also got a Ring floodlight camera mounted and hardwired above the garage - bright, clean, and aimed exactly where it needs to be for coverage. No extension cords, no battery swaps.

Inside the garage, we added dedicated circuits so high-draw tools and equipment aren't competing for power on a shared line. That's a big deal if you've ever tripped a breaker mid-project. We also brought in better lighting so the space is actually usable. And for the EV, we ran a dedicated circuit and installed a Level 2 charging outlet - which cuts charging time down significantly compared to a standard wall outlet.

On top of all that, we added an upstairs outlet where one was missing. Small thing, but it matters when you're trying to charge devices or use appliances without running cords across the room. Every one of these upgrades ran back through the panel, and our electrical panel wiring work made sure each new circuit landed clean and safe.

Homes pick up electrical needs over time - EVs, smart home devices, better security, workshop tools. It's not always about something being broken. Sometimes it's just about making the home work the way you actually live in it.
